CLAY invites you to explore the captivating homes and creative realms of makers, all united by a passion for authentic materials in various forms. Within interiors, textured walls and handcrafted objects come alive, while in the studios of artists and artisans, hands are elbow deep in clay. This book weaves together eight clay stories, a fascinating visual world and tried and tested painting tips, all contributing to an inspiring mood.
The author, photographer Anna Wallendahr, discovered her own clay-infused path while renovating a former village school into a family home. The earthy textures of breathable clay plaster and organic clay paint guided her deeper into the wellsprings of traditional craftsmanship.
